One morning in March my father and I woke up early to meet up with the very talented Mark Grey - http://www.markgray.com.au/ - Mark is a very inspirational photographer and we were there to learn a few tricks of the trade.
This photo was taken from the lookout at the top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane.
Shot with a Pentax 645 on Provia 100 at f8 for approximately one second.

 On a cool night in March, this was the view to be seen looking straight up from our camp-site. The eucalyptus tree's are lit by our fire, and there is one tree lit by the LED headlamp of another camper.
Taken in Bald Rock National Park on Provia 100 film, shot with a Pentax 645 and a 35mm lens.

 This is an image taken in 2006 at a friends wedding. I happened to be walking outside to test a mates 16-35mm f2.8L series lens on my old Canon EOS 20D when I noticed these three girls where playing on the swing in the yard. It was close to sunset so I pumped the ISO up to 3200 and then shot a short three image burst. This photo is a classic example of being in the right place at the right time.

 Kurilpa St Bridge framework. Lauded as one of the ugliest and most modern bridges in Brisbane, the Kurilpa St pedestrian bridge has drawn its share of controversy since it opened in 2009.

The Rain

I hear leaves drinking rain;
I hear rich leaves on top
Giving the poor beneath
Drop after drop;
'Tis a sweet noise to hear
These green leaves drinking near.

And when the Sun comes out,
After this Rain shall stop,
A wondrous Light will fill
Each dark, round drop;
I hope the Sun shines bright;
'Twill be a lovely sight.
